God’s Place
Please send an endorsement letter to GP@lovecompassion.com for God’s Place. I hope to get as many notes and letters into Governor Crist’s hands as soon as possible. Please pray for us and send this to all your friends, asking them to do the same.
We are trying to get the State of Florida to rent a 640 acre area of Lee County to us so that we can turn the tide of despair to hope. But the state is looking to give the property to a university or to the county for a jail or worse. The cost to do either will be in the millions. Of course, the cost will be to us the tax payer.
We can give the land to a group that will cost us millions of dollars and they will have no influence on the problems we are facing with drug addicts, alcoholics, homelessness, trouble youth, those just released from prison or jail and our veterans.

The State can rent the land to us and we can save $168,000,000.00 dollars each year in state and county funds after we have been on the base five years.
Facts are:
Our children are not safe even playing in their back yard and every 48 seconds a woman is raped.
Gangs run parts of our large cities, even to the point where police will not go into that area. Our law enforcement agents are out-gunned and out-manned.
Porn has become an industry giant with the increasing use of the VCR, the DVD, and the Internet, making hundreds of millions of dollars while destroying families.
Millions of abortions are being performed every year.
Men are marrying men and women are marrying women.
Unemployment is climbing to an all time high. Our country is in debt up to its ears. We are being told that social security is broke and is about to run out of funds. Banks are closing!
Government is out of control. The public has lost confidence in our local, state, and federal officials. Health care expense is at an all time high.
We have over 3,000 homeless people just barely surviving in Lee County, Florida while other states are sending their homeless to us and today it is costing our state and county more than $186,000,000.00 every year in hospital, jail, court, mental health, and law enforcement expenses. People of all walks of life are losing their homes. Children are having to live in cars and tent cities are not the answer.
Prison population is only going to get worse and building bigger prisons and jails is not the answer.
Government is not the answer.
It is time for a real change!
God’s Place is where real change can come about as we reach out to the drug addict, alcoholic, homeless, youth, those just released from prison or jail and our veterans. And God’s Place won’t cost Florida a dime!
Please examine the BUSINESS PLAN along with the 5 YEAR BUDGET and see how you can help make this possible.
Please sign our petition stating that you think the State of Florida should rent the land know as 5820 Buckingham Road, Fort Myers, Florida 33905 for a recovery and growth community.
